If you would like me to create a painting for you on commission, here is what happens:
1. First I like to meet with you, if possible, to determine what you want in terms of subject, size, design preferences, delivery date, and any other details. If distance is an issue (quite common) we can accomplish this via phone and email. I will take lots of reference photos. I like it when you give me photos as well.
2. A formal agreement specific to your commission will be drawn up and signed by both of us. Once I receive a 50% deposit I create rough sketches for you to view. At times I may do a small study painting.
3. After you review the sketches, we'll note any changes and agree on the design. A 25% deposit is collected.
4. Then I:
Move the cat off my drawing table.
Move the dogs out from under foot.
Get some coffee and play some music.
And Paint.
5. The final balance is paid and I send your painting to you. You'll be provided shipping details and full tracking information as soon as it leaves my studio.
I am happy to send you more details and pricing information and answer any questions. Contact me here.
